Head towards Eastbourne on the A259. After about 5/8 of a mile out of Seaford, cross over the Exceat narrow bridge, carry on the A259 for a further 1.1 miles, the entrance to the forest is on the left (access gate). Do NOT take the main entrance to the forest which is 500 yards from the bridge.
Follow the A259 towards Seaford, through Eastdean village, 1.9 miles on from the village, the entrance to the forest is on the right.
Most of the trail is fairly flat with slight incline gradients along with some short downhill runs; although there are some fairly steep short inclines. The overall course has many turns and is fair on the dog’s feet; mostly compacted forest earth, grass and compact type-one gravel made up service road. Please note that there is a risk that the trail may contain a small amount of loose flint – although soft verge available.
