From The A1:

Take the A64 from the A1 heading towards Malton. At Malton turn left to Pickering on the A169. At roundabout in Pickering (Rally signs start here), turn right onto the A170 to Thornton-Le_dale, As you drop down the hill into Thornton, turn left towards Whitby (signposted Dalby Forest). After about 1 mile, turn right in Dalby Forest. Go through toll, down into Dalby Villag, follow the Forest Drive for another 2 – 3 mile, pat the lake, up the hill past Alderstones Filelds. The rally enterance ia about 1 mile past the fields and you turn right where the signs indicate. Go down this road, over the spectator point/course road crossing ant the start/finish line is on the next bend

Course Description:

The course is based around a flat plateaux in the centre of Dalby Forest. There are some very short gentle inclines combined with uphill and downhill turns to test both dogs and mushers. With a mile flat straight run into the finish, On the 6 dog trail, there is a mile long decent followed by a mile climb. Keep your dogs fresh! All the trails are wide enough to pass, the surface is a fine chalk powder stone, but some dogs with sensitive feet may need booting, so please come prepared.
